Salix gracilistyla Mount Aso has pretty pink catki Salix gracilistyla Mount Aso has pretty pink catkins now in the field. The first photo is a small bunch of stems when I cut them three days ago for the house. The second photo is the same bunch brought back outside to compare to catkins in the field. You can see how they have already changed to a gray color. I imagine you could place the stems in water to retain the pink color for a short lived arrangement. I’ll probably just enjoy the pink catkins in the field like the third photo with rain drops on the catkins.
